How much of the new resort on the old Naples Beach Hotel site can someone who lives a few blocks north actually use? Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort, opened on November 17, 2025. Next month marks its first full year, and its first full winter season is just starting. Most of the clear "yes" answers sit along the Gulf, plus one cluster in Market Square, the resort's interior plaza. Those happen to be the parts you can reach from Coquina Sands without a car.
The newest piece arrived on October 15, 2026. That day Four Seasons announced the opening of The Wager, a sports gastropub in Market Square that the resort describes as built for "guests, residents and the local community." With it, the public side of the resort covers a full day for the first time. You can start with coffee at 6 a.m. and finish with bowling at 11 p.m.
Four Seasons lists five main food and drink concepts at the resort. Their published hours, and what the resort says about who can come in, add up to a fairly clear map.
| Venue | Location and concept | Posted hours | Neighbor access, per the resort |
|---|---|---|---|
| HB's | Beachfront seafood and raw bar | Lunch 11 a.m.–3 p.m., drinks 3–5 p.m., dinner 5–9 p.m. | Welcomes the public, reservations recommended, reachable from the beach |
| Sunset Bar | Beachfront cocktails, Latin-inspired fare | Mon–Thu 4–9 p.m., Fri–Sun noon–10 p.m. | Described as where "guests and locals mingle" |
| Naples Trading Company | Market Square café and provisions | Daily 6 a.m.–6 p.m. | Describes itself as serving guests and neighbors |
| The Wager | Market Square sports gastropub | Thu–Fri 4–11 p.m., Sat–Sun 11 a.m.–11 p.m. | Pitched to residents and the local community, with online reservations |
| The Merchant Room | New American brasserie off the lobby | Breakfast 7–11 a.m., bar menu noon–5:30 p.m., dinner 5:30–9:30 p.m. | Table reservations offered online |
The two beachfront venues are the ones with history. HB's is named for Henry Broadwell Watkins, the figure behind the original Naples Beach Club. The Sunset Bar was rebuilt on the footprint of the old Sunset Beach Bar. In a Naples Press "Tim Aten Knows" column published around the opening, Tim Aten noted that HB's came back with the same striped awnings as the original. The Sunset Bar is no longer a grill. It now serves tacos, ceviche and chorizo burgers.
In that same column, the resort's public relations director, Teresa Delaney, said the dress code at the beach venues is relaxed:
"You can come right off the beach. Even our bartenders are in T-shirts and shorts, so it's pretty casual."
She told Naples Press that the resort had set Adirondack chairs in the sand behind the bar, and that some weekend visitors had come by boat to eat at HB's. The resort designed these two venues for people arriving across the sand.
Market Square sits back from the beach. Until this month it was mostly Naples Trading Company, a grab-and-go café and market selling coffee, house-made pastries, sandwiches, salads, picnic supplies and gourmet provisions, open daily from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. The early opening matters. HB's lunch service doesn't start until 11 a.m.
The Wager now covers the evenings and weekends. Four Seasons says it is home to a four-lane regulation bowling alley, the first for the Four Seasons brand. It also has a games area with pool, foosball, ping-pong, pinball and arcade games, plus a covered terrace overlooking the resort's putting course. The kitchen serves pub classics like beer-battered fish and chips alongside a lobster roll and a lobster grain salad. A rotating weekly lineup gives regulars a reason to come back on specific nights:
The draft list leans on Florida breweries, including 3 Daughters Brewing, Funky Buddha, Green Bench, Motorworks Brewing, Scotty's Bierworks, LaBelle Brewing, Kaleidoscope and Riptide Brewing. A wood-paneled private dining room seats up to 40, and private-event guests get the games area and putting course included, with bowling available as an option. That makes The Wager the first space at the resort set up for a neighborhood birthday or a game-day group as well as dinner.
The public side is generous, but it has edges. The resort's two pool areas are for hotel guests only, Delaney told Naples Press. Four Seasons describes the Residents' Beach Club and Residents' Beach House as amenities for owners in the Naples Beach Club residences, not general local memberships. At the Mary C. Watkins Tennis Center on South Golf Drive, Delaney said at opening that play was for hotel guests and Naples Beach Club residents "for now."
A few things are still on the way. Four Seasons lists The Picture House, a small movie theater near Market Square, for fall 2026. A Beach Boutique is listed as coming in late 2026, and a Golf Pro Shop in early 2027. The shops already open include The Naples Collection for women's resortwear, Coastal Outfitters for men's apparel, and The Racquet Club Pro Shop.
The road side of the resort takes more planning. When the resort opened, the city's Naples Beach Restoration & Water Quality Improvements Project, better known as the Stormwater Beach Outfall Project, had closed Gulf Shore Boulevard south of the property. Delaney's directions at the time were to take Banyan Boulevard west from U.S. 41, turn left at the Gulf Shore Boulevard North signal, continue past the "road closed" signs for about half a mile, and turn into the main entrance. The resort has no public parking lot. In that late-2025 column, Naples Press reported valet at $60, or $15 with a validated purchase at a resort dining outlet. Those are opening-era figures. Confirm the current rate with the valet stand before you plan around it.
The construction is making progress. The Naples Daily News reported on August 11, 2026 that, according to the city, the project was ahead of schedule and all four major construction components were more than 60% complete. The city's May 2026 project update projected the overall project to wrap up by May 2027. In the meantime, the project site notes that pedestrians and bicyclists are not allowed inside the active construction zone. The city's beach access status page still lists the 8th, 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Avenue North accesses and Central Avenue as closed. Seventh Avenue North, North Lake Drive and Lowdermilk Park are listed as open.
Lowdermilk Park is the open beach access that connects Coquina Sands to the resort, and it sidesteps both the valet and the construction zone. The beach venues are built to take walk-up guests from the sand, so the route works with the resort's own layout.
The park itself is in the middle of an update. The City of Naples recreation projects page shows that the Lowdermilk Park playground replacement received its Notice to Proceed on July 22, 2026, with completion expected in April 2027. The new south-end playground will have a coastal theme with a lighthouse, climbing elements, a shelter and shaded swings.
Several timelines are lining up for the same months. The Gardens, the resort's Tom Fazio-designed golf course, was set for 2026 in the November 2025 opening announcement. Four Seasons now lists it for early 2027. For locals, the key open question is access. At opening, Delaney told Naples Press, "There will be opportunities, there will be tee times available for the public." The resort's current amenity listing gives only the opening year, with no terms for who can play. The Golf Pro Shop is also listed for early 2027.
The neighborhood around the resort is on a similar schedule. The Lowdermilk playground is due in April 2027 and the outfall project is expected to finish by May 2027. Until then, the most reliable way from Coquina Sands to a Sunday roast at The Wager or a late-afternoon drink at the Sunset Bar starts at the Lowdermilk Park lot and runs south along the sand.
